Transmission Expansion Projects

During 2019, Equitrans invested approximately $45 million in transmission expansion projects. In 2020, Equitrans expects to invest approximately $60 million in transmission expansion projects, primarily attributable to the Allegheny Valley Connector (AVC), the Equitrans Expansion project (EEP), which is designed to provide north-to-south capacity on the mainline Equitrans, L.P. system, including for deliveries to the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP), and power plant projects. A portion of EEP commenced operations with interruptible service in the third quarter of 2019. EEP will provide capacity of approximately 600 MMcf per day and offers access to several markets through interconnects with Texas Eastern Transmission, Dominion Transmission and Columbia Gas Transmission. EEP will also provide delivery into the MVP and once the MVP is placed in-service, firm transportation agreements for 550 MMcf per day of capacity will commence under 20-year terms. EEP has a targeted full in-service date of late 2020.
